Welcome to the Birchwood Are Food Pantry Website.
The Birchwood Area Food Pantry, a not-for-profit corporation, is organized and operated exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
The mission of the Birchwood Area Food Pantry is to provide food for those who need it and live within approximately a 20 mile radius and includes the village of Birchwood and towns of: Birchwood, Cedar Lake, Doyle, Edgewater, Long Lake, Wilson, Oak Grove, Stone Lake, Atlanta, Sand Lake, Exeland, Couderay, Radisson, Meteor and Weirder. We provide an opportunity for charitable giving within our community, whether it involves gifts of time, money, things, ideas or skills.
The City of Rice Lake and the Town of Campia are not part of our service area, as there are other hunger relief agencies available for those communities.
Our philosophy is to realize and recognize the human dignity of each individual; and to recognize that individuals, community members, religious organizations, and businesses want to and will participate by helping others in our community if they are aware of the need; and to honor each act of giving.
We currently distribute food on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month through our food pantry and home delivery for shut-ins. Food delivery for our children’s weekend food supply program takes place on the last school day of each week as the children leave school. The only eligibility requirement is to have a need for food.
